Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a hands-on Structural Analyst to oversee analysis across the New Glenn vehicle, including configuration development, trade studies, and novel approaches to challenging problems. You will support material allowables testing, author detailed analysis reports, and assist with test development and post‑test evaluation.

Strong background in aerospace structural analysis, FE modeling, and experience with major FE packages is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil engineering.
• Ability to generate free-body diagrams to calculate internal loads and reaction forces.
• Experience with finite element modeling and use of all element types (beams, plates, solids).
• Proficiency with FE packages: NASTRAN, Optistruct/Hyperworks, Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, and test primary and secondary structures (composites/metallic).
• Create Finite Element Models, analysis packages, and interface control documents.
• Provide technical guidance for integration and liaison engineering support.
• Create test plans and specifications for flight hardware development.
• Support post-test analysis and structural retrofits.
