Job summary

SAIC's Horizon program in El Segundo, California seeks a Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer to support Space Force mission operations, delivering warfighter capability through a growing portfolio of simulations and trade studies.

You will join a fast-paced multidisciplinary team, lead simulation development, define requirements, and integrate tools into an automated trade-study architecture, with emphasis on orbital mechanics and space systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, astronautics, mathematics, or physics with nine years of experience.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, Java, C#, or C++.
• Experience with live, virtual, or constructive (LVC) simulation techniques.
• Simulation development with STK, AFSIM, GMAT, or FreeFlyer.
• MATLAB/Simulink or other scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test simulation applications and architectures for mission operations.
• Integrate mission simulation tools into an automated system-level trade study framework.
• Define requirements, specify designs, and implement an expanding portfolio of simulations and trade studies.
