Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Lead (Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer) to lead modeling and simulation efforts that support national security architectures and the integration of commercial space capabilities.

You will collaborate with government customers, non-traditional space companies, and cross-functional teams, oversee budgets, and contribute to architecture analyses, trade studies, and acquisition decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering, mathematics, or science field.
• Ten years of experience for senior role and at least 6 years for project engineer.
• Security clearance TS/SBI/SCI with polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Lead modeling and simulation to evaluate commercial space system integration.
• Communicate issues and provide independent recommendations to stakeholders.
• Interact with non-traditional space companies and manage budgets.
• Oversee task execution and report status to customers and management.
• Collaborate to influence investments in commercial technology.
