Job summary

EVONA is seeking a Mechanisms Manufacturing Engineer to support development, assembly, integration, and testing of high-precision space-flight mechanisms. The role focuses on deployment hardware for orbital platforms, contributing to both new product development and sustaining engineering activities.

You will help improve manufacturability, support production, and prepare hardware for spacecraft integration and test.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2+ years in manufacturing engineering within aerospace or high-precision environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanism development, production and testing for high-rel hardware.
  • Experience supporting assembly, integration and production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support mechanism design improvements based on testing, assembly and production findings.
  • Lead testing activities and define requirements, tooling, materials and processes for vibration, shock, and thermal vacuum.
  • Contribute to design, analysis and trade studies to improve assembly, integration and test at hardware and spacecraft level.
  • Provide feedback to design teams to improve manufacturability and production efficiency.
  • Generate reports by collecting and summarising test and manufacturing data.
  • Support design release, production readiness and hardware acceptance with sound engineering judgement.
  • Troubleshoot anomalies during assembly and test, perform root-cause investigations and support corrective actions.
  • Provide day-to-day manufacturing engineering support to technicians and production teams.
  • Help improve layouts, tooling, workflows and fabrication methods for efficient build and integration.
