Job summary

EVONA in Midland, Texas is seeking a Mechanisms Manufacturing Engineer to support the assembly, integration, and testing of spacecraft mechanisms. You will work hands-on with design, test, and production teams to ensure successful build, qualification, and delivery of space mechanisms and subsystems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 2–5 years of aerospace hardware experience, with strong CAD/tooling and RCCA familiarity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant aerospace or precision hardware assembly/test experience.
  • Experience with mechanism testing and RCCA methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide manufacturing and test engineering support during build, integration, and verification.
  • Lead mechanism- and subsystem-level tests; develop testing requirements, materials, processes, and tooling.
  • Participate in design, analysis, and system trade studies for AIT strategies.
  • Provide inputs to design engineering to optimize manufacturing flow, cost, and layout.
  • Prepare detailed product and process reports by collecting and summarizing data.
  • Execute design and analysis using engineering principles per company standards.
  • Troubleshoot anomalies, perform root-cause analysis, and drive resolution.
  • Contribute to iterative mechanism design improvements based on test findings.
