Job summary

EVONA is seeking an Associate Mechanisms Engineer to support space mechanism assembly, integration, and testing. You will collaborate with design, test, and production teams to ensure successful build, qualification, and delivery of space mechanisms and subsystems.

Responsibilities include supporting build/test activities, developing test requirements for vibration, TVAC, and assembly, and performing root-cause analyses to drive corrective actions. 0–2 years of aerospace experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in aerospace, precision hardware assembly, integration, or testing.
  • Experience with CAD tools and basic RCCA/GA testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support spacecraft mechanism build, integration, and verification with Production.
  • Perform and support mechanism and subsystem-level testing and data collection.
  • Develop test requirements and tooling for vibration, shock, TVAC, and assembly activities.
  • Collaborate on design decisions, trade studies, and AIT strategies.
  • Improve manufacturing flow and hardware layout with Design Engineering.
  • Analyze test data and prepare engineering reports; troubleshoot anomalies and implement corrective actions.
  • Contribute to mechanism design improvements based on testing findings.
