Job summary

PAE Government Services Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Technical Manager for the Structural Engineering Division to oversee a 20+ person shop floor team at NASA Johnson Space Center facilities in Houston, TX.

You will drive process improvements, establish QMS compliance, and coordinate cross-functional activities with ES management and senior leadership. The role demands a strong background in manufacturing management, engineering leadership, and safety compliance, with a focus on cost control,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; 2–5 years of field experience.
• Minimum of five years in a management or supervisory role in manufacturing, engineering, or technical field.
• Strong communication skills for customer and management presentations.
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and OSHA-related standards.
• Operate independently with prioritization guidance and proactive planning.

Responsibilities

• Assist ES management with daily activities of 20+ employees across facilities.
• Develop procedures and guidelines with NASA ES; implement policies for manufacturing and cleaning operations.
• Establish, maintain, and audit QMS frameworks (ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Lead production operations from the shop floor; foster safety, quality, and high performance.
• Manage resources, forecast needs, and coordinate budgets within ES constraints.
• Interface with senior management to report costs, schedules, and risks.
• Develop Annual Task Order and Budget Cost Models for manufacturing resources.
• Oversee safety of employees and ensure compliance with HSE requirements and company policies.
• Provide personnel management including hiring, onboarding, timecards, training, performance reviews.
• Support union contracts adherence and EEO/AA programs.
