Job summary

PAE Government Services Inc. is seeking an experienced manufacturing leader to join our Kennedy Space Center team in Florida.

You will develop and implement procedural work instructions, oversee assembly and repair activities, and coordinate with engineering, logistics, and quality to meet critical milestones. The role requires deep technical knowledge of vacuum/thermal systems and strong leadership across technicians and project teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or technical equivalent from an accredited institution is required.
• Must have a valid US driver's license.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems.
• Experience with thermal testing.
• Experience with thermal vacuum testing is a plus.
• Knowledge of systems with PID and/or PLC controllers.
• General knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
• CAD knowledge is desirable.
• Experience with KSC and manufacturing industry standards is highly preferred.
• Ability to develop work instructions and direct rework/manufacture per drawings/schematics/specifications.

Responsibilities

• Write technical operating procedures to build, process or repair hardware.
• Coordinate approvals for procedures with Design Engineering, Logistics, Quality engineering and Configuration Management.
• Use Solumina and Maximo to create work planning.
• Maintain preventative maintenance procedures.
• Provide day-to-day technical leadership of manufacturing with a team of technicians and engineers.
• Interface and communicate with technicians, engineers, flow/project managers and work control.
• Participate in scheduling meetings to understand work priorities and resolve technical issues.
• Provide quick identification, resolution and communication of scheduling challenges.
• Lead or participate in pre-task briefings for assigned jobs or projects.
• Include PPE instructions in procedures to ensure safe execution.
• Collaborate with internal/external Shop Managers, Engineers and Project Managers.
• Support managers in functional analysis and IT improvement actions.
• Assist managers in translating directorate goals into execution techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
