Job summary

Amentum at Kennedy Space Center is seeking a senior technical leader to develop and oversee manufacturing procedures for complex hardware, ensure safe and timely execution, and coordinate with engineering, logistics and quality teams. Strong emphasis on procedure development, shop leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or technical equivalent from an accredited institution; at least 15 years of related experience.
• Must have a valid US driver's license.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems and thermal testing is preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with KSC and manufacturing industry standards is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write technical operating procedures to build, process or repair hardware.
• Coordinate approvals for technical operating procedures with Design Engineering, Logistics, Quality engineering and Configuration Management.
• Use Solumina and Maximo manufacturing software systems to create work planning.
• Maintain preventative maintenance procedures for the shops.
• Demonstrate advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
• Provide day-to-day technical leadership of manufacturing responsibilities with a team of technicians.
• Interface with technicians, engineers and project managers to provide technical assistance during fabrication and execution.
• Lead pre-task briefings and ensure PPE and safety requirements are included in work instructions.
