Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the New Glenn avionics manufacturing processes at Space Coast, FL. This role involves creating and maintaining mBOMs, work instructions, and manufacturing plans to ensure safe, efficient production.

You will own complex production schedules, coordinate with suppliers, and drive continuous improvement to reduce cost and improve quality across multiple programs. Shifts: standard daytime with relocation available.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the manufacturing of complex avionics devices and harnesses.
• Interpret and translate engineering documents into functional hardware with detailed BOMs and work instructions.
• Maintain cognizance of thousands of parts across manufacturing stages.
• Maintain documentation pedigree to support human rated flight avionics.
• Develop internal specifications for manufacturing device and harness assemblies.
• Own a complex production schedule supporting multiple programs.
• Craft manufacturing plans, build duration estimates, index plans and tool lists for new products.
• Lead the development and integration of suppliers, processes, materials and technology to meet delivery requirements.
• Review supplier data to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
• Develop tooling requirements and initiate tooling orders.
• Lead tooling dispositions and investigate manufacturing issues of broad scope.
• Participate in producibility assessments and provide input to design and processes to meet costs and schedules.
• Develop work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments
