Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II (D-Shift) on Merritt Island to join Operations. You will translate engineering intent into flight hardware, develop BOMs and work instructions, and support manufacturing on the floor.

You will identify tools, assist with build plans, and help introduce new products while maintaining quality and safety in a high‑stakes aerospace environment. This role requires US citizenship and a passion for spaceflight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or aerospace engineering.
• 2+ years of engineering experience, excluding internships.
• Internship in aircraft/spacecraft/launch vehicle manufacturing or similar.
• Understanding of mechanical design and GD&T fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering intent into hardware; create BOMs and work instructions for test/flight.
• Identify tools and equipment required for manufacturing flight hardware.
• Provide shipside/lineside support on the manufacturing floor.
• Generate and close non-conformance reports (NCR).
• Support new product introductions with build plans, duration estimates, tool lists.
• Fri - Sun 6am-6:30pm
