Job summary

Blue Origin in Florida is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to translate engineering intent into production-ready hardware for test and flight. You will define BOMs, work instructions, and identify tooling for manufacturing flight hardware.

Join a collaborative team building the New Glenn vehicle, applying cutting-edge assembly methods on a production floor, and driving transitions from development to production with rigorous safety and quality focus.

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals including GD&T.
  • Proficient with CAD software and office productivity tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Translate engineering intent into fully functional hardware by crafting manufacturing BOMs and work instructions.
  • Identify tools and equipment required for manufacturing flight hardware.
  • Provide shipside/lineside support on the manufacturing floor.
  • Non-conformance report (NCR) generation, management, & closure.
  • Support introduction of new products by crafting build plans, duration estimates, index plans, and tool lists.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency.
  • Drive the transition from development to production, troubleshooting as needed.
