Job summary

Blue Origin’s Van Horn site seeks an Integration Technician to fabricate, maintain, and operate instrumentation and control systems for rocket engine testing. You will calibrate sensors, assemble harnesses and flight hardware, and ensure safe handling of hazardous systems during tests.

The role requires hands-on electrical work, familiarity with schematics, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in Instrumentation & Controls, avionics, or rocket/jet engine testing.
  • Ability to follow electrical schematics, diagrams, and P&ID.
  • Perform mate/de-mate, cleaning, inspection, assembly, and testing of harnesses.
  • Familiar with test, flight, safety, and handling of critical hardware.
  • Data Acquisition Systems and sensors calibration understanding.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting low voltage systems, 4-20mA signals, thermocouples.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights.
  • Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Fabrication, maintenance, and operation of instrumentation and controls systems for rocket engine testing.
  • Support sensor calibrations and install/checkout of wire harnesses and flight hardware.
  • Ensure safe procedures when working with hazardous chemicals and high-pressure systems.
