Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Fluids Test Engineer within the Integration and Test team in Merritt Island, FL. You will develop and execute vehicle fluid and thermal system tests, lead test operations, and coordinate with engineers, technicians, and suppliers to ensure verification of requirements.

The role requires 5+ years in fluids/pneumatic/cryogenic testing, strong communication, and willingness to travel up to 25% during surge periods.

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of fluids, pneumatic, or cryogenic or similar experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and procedures for vehicle level development, test beds, and qualification testing.
• Lead daily test operations, test consoles, direct technician work, and coordinate with internal and external customers.
• Plan tests of vehicle fluid and thermal systems to verify requirements.
• Design, procure, install test support equipment; manage vendors and subcontractors.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during testing.
• Analyze and archive test data to support verification tasks.
• Perform root cause analyses and safety improvements.
