Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Fluids Test Engineer to support test design and execution for fluids components across Lunar Lander product lines. The role emphasizes safety, traceability, and robust verification in a spaceflight environment.

Required: a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/aerospace or related field and 2+ years of experience with cryogenic systems, P&ID reading, and test procedures. On-site in Washington State with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with pressurized equipment; developing, writing, and executing test procedures for servicing or leak-checking GN2 systems
  • Experience reading P&ID schematics/layout designs

Responsibilities

  • Write test plans and test procedures for pump and fluid components, including development, environmental qualification and acceptance campaigns
  • Assist in support equipment design, budgeting, procurement, verification, and integration
  • Maintain fluids test equipment configuration control, calibration, and traceability
  • Participate in gated design and test readiness reviews
  • Maintain and operate pneumatic and cryogenic hardware and/or control software
  • Follow safety policies during test planning and operations
  • Troubleshoot anomalies real-time
  • Reduce, analyze, and archive test data to support verification tasks
