Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Electrical Harness Design Engineer for the Mk1 Vehicle. You will design electrical harnesses for power, RF, and high-speed data, and produce wiring diagrams and 3D harness data in Creo and Zuken.

You will generate installation drawings and support bracket design while guiding hardware installation and testing. The role requires 5+ years in aerospace harness design, proficiency with 3-D CAD tools (Creo, Zuken, Windchill, NX, Catia), and knowledge of derating

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of aerospace wire harness design experience.
• Familiar with Creo, Zuken or Windchill or NX/Unigraphics/Catia.
• Knowledge of wire derating analysis.
• Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620A and NASA-STD-8739.4.
• Strong 3-D CAD design and integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical harnesses for power distribution, RF, communication and high-speed data signals.
• Create Wiring diagrams utilizing Zuken E3 and 3D routed harness data in Creo Cabling.
• Produce harness installation drawings including 2D flat layouts.
• Develop harness support brackets and perform system integration tasks.
• Provide technical guidance for hardware installation and testing.
