Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced Harness DesignEngineer to develop wiring interconnect diagrams and harness installation drawings for the Mk1 Vehicle Electrical Harness Design team. You will influence safety, reliability and manufacturability of spaceflight hardware.

The role requires 7+ years in aerospace harness design, strong CAD skills (Creo, Zuken, Windchill) and familiarity with industry standards. Collaboration across teams and rigorous documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years designing wire harnesses for aerospace.
• Familiar with Creo, Zuken, Windchill or similar CAD tools.
• Understanding of wire derating analysis.
• Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620A and NASA-STD-8739.4.
• Strong 3D CAD design and integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical harnesses for power, RF, and high-speed data signals.
• Select harness components, connectors, backshells, cables and wires.
• Create wiring diagrams using Zuken E3 or equivalent.
• Create 3D routed harness data using Creo.
• Produce harness installation drawings and 2D flat harness drawings.
• Provide technical guidance for hardware installation and testing.
• Support design trade studies and report status.
