Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Senior Harness Design Engineer to lead electrical and mechanical harness development for Mk1 vehicle modules. You will produce Wiring interconnect diagrams, harness assembly drawings, and installation drawings, shaping the history of spaceflight with safe, repeatable designs.

The role requires extensive CAD experience (Creo, Zuken, Windchill) and deep knowledge of aerospace harness standards, with a focus on manufacturability and integration across bundles, brackets, and

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace/Electrical/Mechanical/Physics/CE or related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience designing wire harnesses in aerospace.
• Familiarity with Creo, Zuken or Windchill; experience with other high-end CAD routing software.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical harnesses for power distribution, RF, communication and high-speed data signals.
• Select harness components, connectors, backshells, wires and cables.
• Create Wiring diagrams using Zuken E3 and 3D routed harness data with Creo Cabling.
• Create harness installation drawings and 2D flat harness drawings from 3D data.
• Design harness brackets and support structures; support trades studies.
• Provide technical guidance for hardware installation and testing.
