Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Thermal Mechanical Engineer – Level 2 or 3 to join our team in Dulles, VA. This 100% onsite role supports an experienced mechanical engineering group performing thermal analysis on spacecraft systems.

The position features a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off and opportunities to contribute to design, testing, and qualification activities. Qualifications include a STEM degree with 2–5 years of experience depending on level, with experience in

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2–5 years of experience depending on level.
• Experience with thermal engineering tasks for analysis, design, or testing of structures.
• Experience with thermal analysis tools such as Thermal Desktop or SINDA.

Responsabilidades

• Perform thermal analysis, design, or test of spacecraft systems or subsystems.
• Analyze requirements for materials, structural components, or functional systems.
• Define problems mathematically and compute engineering characteristics.
• Release results as technical documents after senior review.
• Develop innovative solutions and evaluate designs with the team.
• Develop, coordinate, and conduct test programs to evaluate design work.
