Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector seeks a Thermal Mechanical Engineer – Level 1 to join our team in Dulles, VA. This 100% onsite position is part of the East Region Engineering group, performing thermal analysis on spacecraft systems.

You will work a 9/80 schedule, analyze materials, design components, and coordinate test programs to evaluate thermal performance. A STEM degree and experience with thermal tools are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 0 years of professional experience.
• Experience with thermal engineering tasks for analysis, design, and/or testing.
• Experience with at least one thermal analysis tool such as Thermal Desktop or SINDA.

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal analysis, design, or test of spacecraft subsystems.
• Develop, coordinate, and conduct test programs for thermal evaluation.
• Release results as technical documents after senior review.
