Blue Origin is seeking an engineer to conduct system-level transient thermal analysis for lunar transport vehicles across multiple flight regimes. You will build and vet models using Thermal Desktop and Sinda/Fluint, perform trade studies, and document results to support safe human spaceflight.

The role requires a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering, 2 years of thermal engineering experience, and the ability to automate analysis workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• 2 years relevant Thermal Engineering/Analysis experience
• Solid understanding of thermal fundamentals
• Demonstrated thermal analysis skills
• Familiarity with modeling spacecraft thermal performance using Thermal Desktop and Sinda/Fluint

Responsabilités

• Perform system-level transient thermal analysis of lunar transport vehicles across ground, launch, Earth orbit, cis-lunar space, lunar orbit and lunar surface environments using Thermal Desktop
• Capture inputs, build and vet analysis models, conduct trade studies, and generate temperature and heat transfer predictions
• Document results and communicate findings to stakeholders
• Support automation of common analysis processes and contribute to design recommendations
