Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Thermal Analysis Engineer for the MK1 Lunar Lander in the Lunar Permanence unit. You will model vehicle sections and components, create analysis cases, and evaluate thermal behavior from launch to lunar surface using Thermal Desktop and Sinda/Fluint.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, post results, and prepare design review content. Strong written and verbal communication is essential, along with the ability to build trust within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent (must have).
• 2+ years of thermal engineering/analysis experience.
• Experience in thermal and fluid design fundamentals.
• Demonstrated thermal analysis skills.
• Familiarity with Thermal Desktop and Sinda/Fluint for spacecraft thermal modeling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to earn trust and maintain professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Collect analysis inputs from stakeholders and engineers.
• Develop new or modified thermal analysis models.
• Create analysis cases to evaluate thermal performance under worst-case conditions.
• Analyze component and assembly thermal performance using various techniques.
• Post-process results to draw engineering conclusions.
• Publish analysis reports to support decisions.
• Generate and present design review content to partners and customers.
