Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Loads and Dynamics Analyst to perform stress analyses of missile flight structures and related components. You'll work in a multi-disciplinary team to support design trades and analysis activity, with a contract-award contingency in Sep 2026.

The role requires basic structures knowledge, FE analysis proficiency, and a TS clearance. Experience with Abaqus, NX/Nastran, Matlab, ADAMS, Wave6 and Mathcad is valued.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of structures and structural dynamics
• Proficiency in finite element analysis principles and rigid/flexible body models
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret clearance (US Citizenship required)

Responsibilities

• Modeling and analyzing test components for dynamic behavior
• Prepare technical charts and represent the organization in design reviews
• Support structural load test definition, requirements development and data reduction
• Collaborate with designers to optimize structural margins, weight and producibility
• Coordinate with program to forecast long-term analysis needs
