Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Stress Analysis Engineer in Colorado to lead and perform structural analyses for missile propulsion components across the full development lifecycle. You’ll mentor junior analysts, integrate FE models with design reviews, and ensure stress checks meet performance and safety goals.

Qualifications

  • Professional experience performing stress analysis of metallic structures.
  • Experience participating in multidisciplinary design reviews.
  • Experience using finite element tools such as NX/Nastran, Abaqus, Ansys, FEMAP and/or PATRAN.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct stress analysis using linear and nonlinear solutions to evaluate propulsion subsystem components from concept through flight.
  • Review and provide feedback on models, reports, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to ensure structural integrity throughout the product lifecycle.
