Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in California is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer - Dynamics - FEM to perform structural dynamic analyses on missile and spacecraft hardware. You will build and maintain models using NX/NASTRAN and related tools, evaluating loading conditions and separation events.

Qualifications include a solid background in structures and structural dynamics, FE analysis experience, and US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of structures and structural dynamics.
• Proficiency in finite element analysis principles.
• Experience with NX/NASTRAN finite element modeling.
• Knowledge of missile or spacecraft structural dynamic methods.
• US Citizenship with active Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural dynamic analyses for missile and spacecraft hardware.
• Produce and maintain models generated from in-house and commercially available software codes.
• Perform loads development, shock and vibration environments determination, and testing evaluation.
• Prepare test plans, execute tests and produce post-test reports.
• Work on multi-disciplined design trades and mentor junior engineers.
