Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Sunnyvale, CA, is seeking a Senior Stress Analyst to perform preliminary and detailed stress analysis of spacecraft structures and components, and to mentor less experienced analysts. You will review stress analyses and support knowledge transfer within the team.

Responsibilities include generating memos and reports for data packages, representing the organization in design reviews, and supporting test definitions and data reduction to ensure flightworthy, compliant

Qualifications

Experience with NX and NX/NASTRAN finite element modeling and analysis tools.
Experience with analytical techniques to perform structural analysis.
Knowledge of spacecraft/aircraft structural analysis methods and hand calculations.

Responsibilities

Generating stress analysis technical memorandums and reports for data packages and reviews.
Preparing technical charts and representing the organization in design reviews and contracts.
Supporting static structural test definition, monitoring, data reduction, and comparison to analysis.
Contributing to weight-optimized, flightworthy components meeting design criteria and producibility requirements.
