Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join the Mission Systems SEIT team. You will define software requirements and allocations for spaceflight programs, collaborating with flight software, systems, hardware, and customer teams.

The role emphasizes MBSE, architecture traceability, and collaboration across disciplines. A BS in engineering and several years in software/systems engineering, plus TS/SCI clearance, are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or equivalent technical field.
• 3+ years in software/systems engineering or related.
• Prior experience with flight software development teams.
• Familiarity with spacecraft ops and C&C tech.
• MBSE experience and systems engineering lifecycle knowledge.
• TS/SCI clearance ability to start.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to define requirements across multiple programs and missions.
• Analyze mission requirements and ensure traceability to software elements.
• Allocate requirements to optimize the software architecture.
• Generate MBSE artifacts and interface designs for flight software.
• Act as SME on spacecraft and ground system capabilities.
