Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Enterprise Software to design and build software systems for aerospace applications across design, manufacturing, supply chain, and mission operations. You will contribute to reusable, safe, low-cost space vehicles and work with cross-functional teams to deliver software throughout vehicle development to launch.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant experience writing software and deploying it to production.
• Proficient in typed (e.g., Java, C) and untyped (e.g., Python, JavaScript) languages.
• Strong CS fundamentals: algorithms and data structures.
• Ability to write efficient code and solve problems with incomplete requirements.
• Solid communication skills and willingness to own mistakes.
• Experience coding with AI like Claude Code.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software systems and infrastructure in Java, Python, and JavaScript.
• Build web interfaces using Angular and React.
• Collaborate with engineers to support vehicle development, testing, and launch.
• Integrate and extend products using GraphQL, REST, and message queues.
• Fix software issues across installation, deployment, and client/server sides.
