Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Production Planner - Level 3 for our Structures Business Unit in San Diego, CA. You will plan, schedule, and coordinate manufacturing activity to meet build commitments, manage material flow, and ensure accurate ERP/MRP execution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience applying LEAN and Six Sigma principles in aerospace manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work under tight timelines.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Understand manufacturing capacity and allocate to meet build plan commitments.
• Expedite and reschedule POs to suit planning needs.
• Create and release manufacturing orders from BOMs and configurations.
• Close work orders after sub-assemblies and ensure integration complete.
• Track material shortages and communicate critical shortages to program team.
• Maintain inventory including shelf life material and tooling.
• Coordinate flow of materials and parts between departments per schedule.
• Prepare purchase requests based on master production schedule and inventory needs.
• Perform work-order variance analysis and review MRP execution for accuracy.
