Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Production Planner & Scheduler (level 2 or 3) to support the Deployables Operating unit on-site.

This role handles advanced scheduling, containment of non-conforming parts, and cross‑functional coordination to meet ship schedules, with ownership of MRP and BOM activities.

Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years of manufacturing experience are required; US citizenship is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience in a production control and manufacturing environment.
• Strong computer literacy using an ERP system and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Understanding of Bill of Materials development and management through the product life cycle.
• Proven analytical, technical, strategic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and very tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Focal point for all program containment activities including running reports and inventory analyses; ensure non-conforming parts are dispositioned.
• Supports continuous improvement activities within the department or that is impactful to the department.
• Performs work order variance analysis and reviews MRP execution; reconciles supply and demand.
• Creates and releases manufacturing work orders based on BOMs; closes sub-assemblies and ensures assembly completion.
• Tracks material shortages and communicates critical shortages impacting ship schedule.
