Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems in Palo Alto, CA seeks a Mass Properties Engineer to estimate, manage, and verify mass properties for spacecraft and subsystems. You will define allocated mass, perform CG/MOI/POI analyses, and support design, build, and test activities throughout the program lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of relevant experience, a technical degree, and proficiency with MS Office, CREO, and Teamcenter.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Define allocated mass with lead engineers at program start, coordinating with Systems and Subsystems teams.
• Calculate mass properties of spacecraft equipment, including sequence mass properties.
• Determine mass budget and prepare mass properties reports.
• Weigh components and collect mass data; maintain mass properties database.
• Review designs to analyze mass, CG, MOI, POI.
• Provide technical consultation to subsystems to control mass.
• Support AIT and launch vehicle providers.
