Job summary

Intuitive Machines, LLC is seeking a Mass Properties Engineer in Palo Alto, CA to estimate, manage, and verify mass properties for spacecraft and subsystems. You will define allocated mass, compute CG/MOI/POI, and maintain mass databases throughout design, build, and test phases.

The role requires a engineering bachelor’s degree (mechanical, aerospace, or physics) with at least 2 years of experience, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office. CREO and Teamcenter experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Estimate, manage, and verify mass properties for spacecraft and subsystems.
• Define allocated mass across the program lifecycle and calculate mass properties to support design, build, and test.
• Perform mass data collection and maintain mass databases.
• Produce reports and budgets and review design documentation for mass information.
• Consult with subsystems engineering to control mass of products.
• Support Assembly Integration and Test (AIT) and launch vehicle providers.
• Work with lead engineers to define allocated mass at program start and coordinate with Systems/Subsystems teams.
• Periodically determine mass budget and prepare mass properties reports.
