Sierra Space is seeking a Guidance, Navigation & Controls Engineer II to contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of advanced GNC systems for spacecraft applications. This mid-level role is ideal for engineers with foundational experience in dynamic modeling, algorithm design, and simulation analysis.

The selected candidate will work independently on complex tasks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance and compliance with requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent work experience).
• 2+ years of relevant experience in dynamic modeling and GNC algorithm design.
• Proficiency in SIMULINK programming and STK; familiarity with C, C++, Python.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize GNC algorithms for spacecraft.
• Run Monte Carlo simulations and analyze sensor/actuator models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document findings.
