Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, FL seeks an Engineering Technician– Level 2 or Level 3 to fabricate, assemble, test and accept flight hardware. You will read drawings and schematics, install components, and operate heavy equipment.

The role offers a 4/10 schedule (10-hour days with Fridays off) and may include overtime as demand grows. Level 2 requires 2 years experience; Level 3 requires 4 years; security clearance and NASA background check are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. government security clearance.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, schematics and instructions.
• Proficient in use of manual and power tools.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Mix, apply and bond coatings and adhesives.
• Read engineering drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Install and test electronic components, boxes, cables, and systems.
• Disassemble, inspect and install mechanical hardware.
• Operate heavy equipment (cranes, forklifts, manlifts, tugs).
• Follow computer-based work instructions and share knowledge with team.
