Northrop Grumman is seeking a mid-level Mechanical Design Engineer (Level 2/3) in Dulles, VA. The role focuses on mechanical design tasks for spacecraft structures, mechanisms, and payload placement, using Creo Parametric and GD&T to produce manufacturable designs.

Position is 100% onsite with a 9/80 schedule. Level 2 requires a STEM degree with 2 years’ experience (or Master’s with 0), Level 3 requires 5 years (or 3 with Master’s or PhD 1 year).

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2 years of professional experience OR Master’s with 0 years ( PhD with 1 year also considered).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance.
• Experience with mechanical tasks in design and manufacturing of aerospace structures.
• Proficiency with Creo Parametric CAD software including large assemblies, piping and harness modules, and GD&T drawing creation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsabilidades

• Design spacecraft structures, mechanisms, antenna and payload placement from concept through integration and test.
• Use Creo CAD to develop and document designs for manufacturing and assembly into spacecraft.
• Produce mechanical drawings and MB designs using GD&T processes.
• Interface with mechanical design/engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and efficiency.
• Conduct detailed design tasks using Creo and related tools for manufacturing readiness.
• Other duties as assigned.
