Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. at Kennedy Space Center (Cape Canaveral, FL) seeks an Engineering Technician Level 2/3 to fabricate, assemble, test and accept flight hardware. You will operate electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems, interpret drawings, and install components.

The role supports rotating shifts with overtime as needed; a high school diploma with experience or education is required, and the ability to obtain a US government clearance is essential.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of related experience or education.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics and work instructions.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with manual, electrical, and electronic test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and specifications.
  • Install and test electronic components, boxes, cables, and systems.
  • Disassemble, inspect and install mechanical hardware.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, manlifts and tugs.
  • Maintain safety, quality, and schedule performance.
