Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Colorado is seeking a senior engineering leader to manage a team of engineers, drive staffing plans, and oversee program life cycles. You will participate in design reviews, mentor engineers, and ensure structural analyses meet schedules and requirements.

The role emphasizes Full Spectrum Leadership, collaboration with programs, and hands-on analysis using NX/Nastran in a mission-focused environment. Security clearance is required for eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related technical field) or equivalent experience/education.
• Prior experience as a technical lead or manager.
• Fundamental understanding of structural analysis methods and processes (load paths, modes, modal coupling, joints, stress/strain, fatigue/fracture, buckling).
• Proficient with finite element tools (NX & NX Nastran).
• Active Top Secret or SCI clearance required before start.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 10-15 engineers with oversight, mentoring, career development, training and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with programs and functional leadership to plan staffing and assign work to sustain engineering capabilities.
• Represent the organization in design reviews and external interactions with Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors.
• Oversee technical product management for program life cycles to improve affordability and efficiency.
• Perform detailed structural analysis of spacecraft components and systems to meet requirements and schedules.
