Lockheed Martin Space in Colorado is seeking a highly capable Engineering Manager to lead the Tb&S program management efforts across NSS and SMD projects. You will supervise up to 40 software, electrical and project engineers, including first line managers, and drive a cohesive, high performing team.

Responsibilities include workforce development, cross-team collaboration, risk management, and delivering on schedule and budget while maintaining technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multiple teams of engineers across programs.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with full Software Development Life-cycle.
• Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
• Excellent team orientation with strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Project lead for SPP efforts.
• BoE Development.
• Workforce management.
• Personnel development.
• Collaboration across multiple Tb&S teams.
• Effectively communicate and coordinate with Engineering Chiefs, Project Leads, Asset Owners and software leads within the Product Line.
• Prepare and deliver regular presentations to program leadership.
• Identify technical, cost, and schedule risks.
• Identify staffing requirements to product team management.
• Perform functional manager duties, hire staff, give employee feedback and career development for direct reports.
• Develop a cohesive, high performing team.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment to facilitate the exchange of information and creative ideas.
