Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Littleton, Colorado, is seeking a Design/Analysis Lead to supervise a team of mechanical engineers and drive design, analysis, and documentation for space hardware. You will develop 3D models, perform structural and thermal analysis, and present results at design reviews.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, extensive flight hardware experience, proficiency with Creo and NX/Nastran, and active TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related technical field)
  • Extensive experience with flight hardware design, analysis, integration, and test
  • Proficient with mechanical drafting standards and CAD tools (Creo)
  • Proficient with finite element tools (NX & NX Nastran)
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance; ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of mechanical engineers with oversight and mentoring
  • Design and analyze mechanical, structural, and thermal components to meet requirements
  • Develop, review, release, and maintain engineering documentation and analyses
  • Use CAD to create 3D models and drawings with GD&T and integrate subsystems
  • Present design and analysis data at technical reviews with stakeholders
