Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking an Aerospace Production Technician II/III at its Silver Spring, MD site to support development and assembly of cutting-edge spaceflight hardware, including separation systems and electro-mechanical deployables. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and in teams on challenging missions.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of aerospace assembly experience (III level requires 5+ years).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of hands-on aerospace assembly experience.
• Understanding basic electronic circuitry.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly of aerospace mechanisms using established procedures.
• Operate spaceflight hardware and assembly fixtures using data acquisition systems.
• Attach and remove components on spaceflight hardware.
• Inspect mechanical and electrical components.
• Solder space flight harnesses per the J-STD.
• Generate ideas for potential process improvements.
• Assist with non-conformance investigations.
