Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking an Assembly Integration & Test Technician II/III at our Long Beach, CA site. You will build and test spacecraft hardware, install harnesses and avionics, and perform functional checks in a fast-paced aerospace production setting.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical/mechanical assembly, working from engineering drawings, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Base pay ranges with strong benefits and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years manufacturing experience in aerospace (AIT II) or 5+ years experience (AIT III).
• Experience following industry standards related to ESD, FOD, Tool Control, 5S, HAZMAT, and calibration.
• Familiar with cleanroom environments and aerospace cleanliness requirements.
• Proficient in harness fabrication and installation, including routing, lacing, shielding, clamping, and cable management.
• Experience installing avionics hardware with engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, installation drawings, and manufacturing work instructions.
• Hands-on experience using electrical and mechanical assembly tools and test equipment (wire strippers, crimp tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators).
• HS Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate, and test spacecraft hardware per drawings and quality standards.
• Install electrical and mechanical hardware including harnesses, avionics, heaters, RTDs, connectors.
• Use assembly tools and calibration equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform functional checks and production verification activities.
• Support propulsion integration and system verification per procedures.
• Assist with lifting and handling using cranes and fixtures.
