Job summary

Rocket Lab in Silver Spring, MD is seeking an Aerospace Production Technician II/III to assemble spaceflight hardware, including separation systems and on-orbit devices. You will perform precision assembly, operate fixtures, attach components, and inspect hardware as part of a collaborative, detail-driven team.

Base pay is $24–$29 per hour in MD, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid leave, stock purchase program, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of hands-on aerospace assembly experience.
• Understanding of basic electronic circuitry.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly of aerospace mechanisms.
• Operate spaceflight hardware and assembly fixtures using data acquisition systems and established procedures.
• Attach and remove components on spaceflight hardware.
• Inspect mechanical and electrical components.
• Solder space flight harnesses per the J-STD.
• Generate ideas for potential process improvements.
• Assist with non-conformance investigations.
