Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Assembly Integration & Test Technician II/III for the A Shift to build and test spacecraft hardware. You will follow engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturing procedures while performing electrical and mechanical assembly.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in manufacturing, familiarity with cleanrooms and aerospace standards, and the ability to handle, test, and verify flight hardware in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with ESD, FOD, Tool Control, 5S, HAZMAT, and calibration.
  • Familiar with cleanroom environments and aerospace cleanliness requirements.
  • Proficient in harness fabrication and installation.
  • Experience installing avionics hardware using drawings and instructions.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical assembly tools and test equipment.
  • HS Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, integrate, and test spacecraft hardware per drawings, instructions, and quality standards.
  • Install electrical and mechanical hardware including harnesses, avionics components, heaters, RTDs, brackets, connectors, and other flight hardware.
  • Use electrical and mechanical assembly tools and calibrated tooling safely and effectively.
  • Perform functional checks, continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, and other production verifications.
  • Support spacecraft functional testing, CPT, and environmental test campaigns as required.
  • Support propulsion integration activities including hardware installation, pressure testing, leak testing, and system verification.
  • Assist with critical spacecraft lifts using overhead cranes, mobile gantries, and approved lifting fixtures.
