Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Space Vehicle Requirements & Verification Architect to lead verification efforts for Blue Ring missions. You will define, decompose, and trace requirements, and work with propulsion, payload, ground systems, and mission teams to deliver verified spacecraft capable of mission success.

The role spans system-level verification planning, documentation, and cross-team collaboration, with growth across multiple missions and the Blue Ring product line.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Software engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jama.
• 5+ years in space system development or test engineering.
• 2+ years of spacecraft verification experience.
• Proven experience defining, tracing, interfacing, documenting, integrating, verifying and validating requirements.
• Background in creating verification reports and roll-up verification to system level.
• Experience across the Systems Engineering lifecycle and the V model.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship or national and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform as Mission Requirements & Verification Lead for a Blue Ring customer mission across requirements decomposition, derivation and allocation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define verification plans for multiple customers and missions.
• Engage with internal and external customers, including government agencies and contractors, to analyze requirements and verification needs.
• Develop and manage requirement and verification modules with accurate flow-down and traceability.
• Define relationships and traceability between requirements, design parameters, budgets, ICDs, programs and TP measures.
• Establish verification approaches and plans for system requirements and identify I&T activities for sell-off.
• Coordinate across org boundaries to obtain verification data to demonstrate compliance.
• Create and report metrics and issues to leadership and stakeholders.
• Create and own system-level spacecraft verification plans and execution.
• Support launch site system testing including payload and launch vehicle integration.
• Develop product line verification plans and roll-up deliverables.
• Deliver verification reports ensuring launch and operational readiness.
• Verify all payload interfaces and ensure spacecraft readiness for countdown.
• Verify end-to-end system functionality including ground systems.
