Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Space Vehicle Verification and Validation Lead to define and manage mission‑level verification plans for Blue Ring spacecraft. You will coordinate with systems, software, payload, and ground teams to ensure traceable, verifiable design and successful launch readiness.

The role emphasizes model‑based verification, cross‑functional collaboration, and engagement with customers/government partners to meet mission requirements. Requires TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

  • BS in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Software engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Jama, etc.).
  • 8+ years of space system development or test engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of spacecraft verification experience.
  • Experience in requirements definition, traceability, interface definition, design documentation, integration, verification and validation.
  • US citizenship or equivalent and TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead system verification for Blue Ring missions, including requirements decomposition and allocation.
  • Collaborate with Spacecraft Systems, Flight Software, Payload & Mission Integration, and Ground Systems teams to define verification plans.
  • Engage with customers and contractors to analyze verification needs and requirements.
  • Develop and manage verification modules and traceability across interfaces.
  • Create and own system‑level spacecraft verification plans and deliverable verification reports.
