Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior aerospace systems engineer to guide government and contractor collaboration on space vehicle R&D, assembly, integration, and testing. You will report to executive stakeholders and support classified programs with technical reporting and strategic partnerships.

The role requires a BS in Physics or Engineering, 25+ years in space systems, and eligibility for US security clearance. Domestic travel and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • BS degree from an accredited program in Physics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 25 or more years of progressively responsible experience in Space Vehicle R&D, Do No Harm, systems analysis, and space vehicle systems engineering
  • Comfortable working with, and reporting directly to, executive management and key stakeholders
  • Availability to travel domestically
  • Demonstrated superior interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US government
  • U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
  • Advanced technical degree (impressive if you had one or more of these)
  • Previously worked with Aerospace with a deep understanding of how to navigate and coordinate the Engineering Technology Group technical expert reach back capability (impressive if you had one or more of these)
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and maintaining executive level strategic partnerships (impressive if you had one or more of these)
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, plan, and execute solutions to multi-objective problems (impressive if you had one or more of these)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the government and prime and sub-contractors to oversee critical assembly, integration, and test activities
