Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support space vehicle programs. You will model, simulate, and analyze complex systems, ensuring integration and validation across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math or science is required.
• Top Secret security clearance or ability to obtain it is required.
• 2+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Knowledge of systems engineering concepts is required.
• Experience with cross-functional planning and integration activities.
• Hands-on technical drive and accountability.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency with Cameo and/or SparxEA.
• Experience with space technologies and/or space operations is preferred.
• OCSMP certification is a plus.
• Experience with agile development processes is preferred.

• Perform engineering work supporting development of operable systems within technical, cost, schedule, mass, and mission constraints
• Create and extend system models using requirements, interface documentation, and systems engineering documents
• Enable mission-level modeling, simulation, and analysis using AFSIM by structuring MBSE elements and data flow
• Support system-level integration, verification, and validation activities
• Develop and analyze digital models for space vehicles and missions
• Develop and document methodologies to model, simulate, and analyze conceptual challenges
• Communicate insights and observations from analytical models and technical data to senior leadership and external customers
• Collaborate with organizations and customers to obtain authoritative data, analytic techniques, and assumptions
• Provide MBSE and SysML or UML expertise to modeling, simulation, and analysis studies
• Demonstrate technical ownership and accountability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math or Science
• Ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance (or equivalent)
• 2+ years of systems engineering experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering concepts
• Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination and task execution involving systems engineering and integration activities
