Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to lead early-stage design studies for spacecraft concepts and to develop advanced tools for concept design and analysis. You will work with VGCD engineers and external partners to shape top-line architecture and optimize performance for space and ground systems.

The role requires 4+ years of multi-disciplinary engineering experience, strong communication and collaboration skills, and eligibility for TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science is required.
• 2+ years on multi-disciplinary teams focusing on spacecraft or ground segment design.
• Experience with concurrent engineering tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead early-stage spacecraft concept design studies.
• Develop and maintain tools and models for spacecraft concept design and analysis.
• Support ground segment concept design assessment.
• Establish strong relationships with government, program offices, and contractors.
