Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to lead multidisciplinary spacecraft and ground segment design efforts. You will drive early design studies, advance modeling tools, and collaborate with government and industry partners to deliver innovative space systems.

The role requires 4+ years in multi-disciplinary engineering with a strong background in spacecraft subsystems, system engineering, and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an accredited engineering or science discipline.
• 2+ years on multi-disciplinary engineering teams focused on spacecraft or ground segment design.
• Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and system engineering; some ground segment concepts.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and show initiative under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead early-stage design studies for spacecraft concepts, from small to large multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop and maintain tools and models used in spacecraft concept design and analysis.
• Support assessment of ground segment concept design within VGCD.
• Establish relationships with government, program offices, and contractor personnel.
