Job summary
The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Space Vehicle Defense Cybersecurity Project Engineer to advance critical SVD initiatives within the CCD/CS3. You will serve as technical authority for on-board IDS, autonomous defense, and cyber capabilities across orbital, link, and terrestrial segments to safeguard space systems.
Based onsite in Colorado Springs, CO, you’ll lead technical teams, perform red/blue testing, align with NIST RMF and SPD-5 requirements, and collaborate with Space Force and SSC/SSIO
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related STEM discipline.
- 6+ years of cybersecurity/space systems engineering experience with leadership.
- Proven technical authority and project leadership in lab to deployment transitions.
- Knowledge of space vehicle defense, cyberspace warfare, and RMF/DoD guidance.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Project Engineer and technical authority for SVD initiatives within Mission Delta 6 and 6 STS.
- Develop and evaluate on-board IDS, autonomous detection, and other SVD technologies.
- Lead purple team testing and integration with DCO-S tools and systems.
- Publish SVD requirements and ensure accreditation per SPD-5, DoDI 8500.01/8510.01, CNSSI 1253.
